DP Mathematics
The IB Diploma Mathematics curriculum, first assessed in 2021, offers two distinct pathways: Analysis & Approaches (AA) for students who enjoy theoretical mathematics and Applications & Interpretation (AI) for those who prefer real-world problem-solving. Both courses are available at Standard Level (SL) and Higher Level (HL), covering core topics such as algebra, functions, calculus, probability, and statistics. The curriculum emphasizes technology integration, mathematical reasoning, and real-world applications, preparing students for diverse academic and career paths.
Assessments include Paper 1 (non-calculator for AA, technology required for AI), Paper 2 (problem-solving and applications), and an Internal Assessment (IA), where students explore mathematical concepts in a self-directed investigation.
