MYP Arts

The MYP Arts curriculum nurtures creativity and self-expression through artistic creation, performance, and presentation. Students develop and refine technical skills while exploring feelings, experiences, and ideas across visual and performing arts. Students engage in both disciplines in Years 1–3, while in Years 4–5, they focus on their preferred artistic fields.

The curriculum emphasizes conceptual understanding through aesthetics, change, communication, and identity, with an inquiry-based approach that encourages critical thinking through factual, conceptual, and debatable questions. Students enhance their technique, creativity, and personal expression through this holistic artistic exploration.
