DP Language A: Language and Literature
The IB Diploma Language and Literature curriculum develops students' ability to analyze both literary and non-literary texts, fostering critical thinking and global awareness. Through the exploration of themes, contexts, and perspectives, students engage with a variety of texts while making connections to real-world issues.
The program includes comparative essays, textual analysis, and the Individual Oral (IO), along with structured preparation for Paper 1 (textual analysis) and Paper 2 (comparative essay). The curriculum strongly emphasizes communication, argumentation, and interpretation, and equips students with essential skills for academic success and beyond.
