DP Physics

The IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) Physics curriculum provides a comprehensive foundation in fundamental and advanced physics concepts, integrating theoretical knowledge with practical investigations. The course develops critical thinking, problem-solving, and data analysis skills by covering key topics such as mechanics, waves, electricity and magnetism, thermal physics, and atomic/nuclear physics.

 Assessments include Paper 1 (multiple-choice), Paper 2 (structured and extended response questions), Paper 3 (experimental and option topics), and the Internal Assessment (IA), where students conduct an independent scientific investigation. Designed for both Standard Level (SL) and Higher Level (HL) students, the curriculum encourages inquiry-based learning and real-world applications, preparing students for further studies in physics, engineering, and related sciences.
