During my 10 years as a teacher, I have been heavily involved with building quality curriculum (BQC) at both middle and high school. My two main focuses in BQC are mathematics and student mentorship. I have been leading extensively in the use of digital tools to engage students as a whole and independently. I have given several workshops in the area of best practices including digital technology. Before my teaching career, I was involved in completing several long-term projects whilst working as an engineer.
IB MYP Mathematics & Science Educator
David Weber has been a math and science teacher in both Canada and the United States for 30 years. He has been leading MYP math workshops since 2003 and has authored several resources for the IB as well as the latest MYP Mathematics 1-3 textbook series from Oxford University Press. He currently teaches in San Diego, CA at a school for low-income students whose parents have never been to college. He loves to teach.

Joe Amabile has taught mathematics in Kenya and the United States for over 15 years. Joe is an MYP Mathematics teacher, Math coach, and MYP Coordinator with IB Schools of Michigan. As a member of the IB Educator Network, he leads face-to-face workshops, conducts school site visits, evaluates unit plans as a BQC reviewer and is involved in the international collaboration of research and development regarding mathematics in the MYP.
